A new volunteer mentor scheme, Home Support Together, is launching to assist those transitioning from homelessness in Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole. Trained volunteers will provide one-on-one support to help individuals settle into their new homes, boost confidence, and maintain their tenancies. Volunteers can assist with practical tasks or offer companionship, with flexible hours and training provided. Councillor Kieron Wilson emphasizes the importance of community integration beyond just housing. Drop-in sessions will be held at various libraries from June 22 to July 14 for interested volunteers to learn more about participating in this transformative initiative.
