BCP Council plans to revise its library regulations

BCP Council’s Cabinet has unanimously approved new library bylaws under the Public Libraries and Museums Act 1964, aimed at establishing a uniform set of regulations across local libraries. The bylaws, which cover user behavior, facility use, and electronic services, promote a safe and welcoming environment. Residents can review the draft bylaws on the BCP Council’s website or at the Civic Centre in Bournemouth, with a comment period open until July 1, 2026. Comments can be submitted in person or via email at libraryadmin@bcpcouncil.gov.uk.
