Active Gymnastics Club Dorset Joins National Campaign

Active Gymnastics Club Dorset in Poole has been recognized in the campaign “Sport Welfare in Action: Together for Safer Sport,” which emphasizes the importance of Sport Welfare Officers (SWOs) for safeguarding clubs in England. James Ballard, an SWO at Active Dorset, highlighted the club’s transformation from an idea to a fully operational space with trained personnel and established safeguarding policies. Operations manager Dana Crisan stressed the club’s commitment to safety and inclusion. Since its launch in November 2025, the club has become a community hub offering gymnastics from age six to adults, aided by SWOs’ expertise and support.
