A new £1 million fund by Dorset Community Foundation will support local groups improving mental health in Dorset. This funding, in collaboration with NHS Dorset and Community Action Network, aims to enhance wellbeing and resilience through non-clinical projects. It follows a previous programme that helped 53 groups over two years, benefiting over 6,500 individuals through various activities like outdoor sessions and community meals. Two-thirds of the new funds will support established projects, while over £300,000 is available for new applications starting June 29. The application deadline is August 6, with grants up to £20,000 and £5,000 accessible for community groups.
