Council raises flag to show support

BCP Council raised a flag at the Bournemouth civic center to support veterans, cadets, and armed forces families, marking the beginning of Armed Forces Week. The ceremony included local councillors and members of the armed forces community. Councillor Lesley Dedman expressed gratitude for current personnel and their families, while Councillor George Farquhar acknowledged the commitment of the Royal Navy, Army, and Air Force. Chief Executive Aidan Dunn emphasized the significance of honoring sacrifices made by military members. Armed Forces Week, running until June 28, celebrates the contributions of active personnel, veterans, families, and cadets.
