Kings Park Nursery in Bournemouth is set to become a community hub focused on food growing and local engagement after its closure due to financial losses in January 2024. The redevelopment, led by The Parks Foundation and Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council, aims to revitalize the space for residents. With initial efforts including site cleanup and community feedback events scheduled for July, August, and September, they hope to foster connections between residents and nature. The Parks Foundation, which has successfully improved numerous local green spaces, is collaborating with the charity Grounded Community to design the hub.
