The latest honours list recognizes several local figures in Dorset. Chief Constable Amanda Pearson received the King’s Police Medal for her contributions to policing. Former Bournemouth councillor Philip Broadhead was awarded an OBE for public service. Two individuals from Bournemouth, Georgina Hurcombe and Professor Jian Jun Zhang, received MBEs for their contributions to the creative sector and computer animation, respectively. Additionally, Paul Kitching from Wimborne received a BEM for services to museums, and firefighter Keith Prince was honored with a BEM for community service in Cranborne.
