Petition calls for more seafront bins

Residents are urging BCP Council to reassess bin provision along Bournemouth and Boscombe seafront due to chronic overflowing bins during peak times, leading to litter issues and environmental concerns. The petition highlights the negative effects on wildlife, public health, and the area’s appeal to visitors, noting that 83 tonnes of litter were collected during the May bank holiday. It calls for the identification of waste hotspots, increased bin availability, and more frequent emptying. The petition is open for signatures on the BCP Council website until September 30.
