Petition started to demand more bins in Bournemouth and Boscombe

A petition has been launched in response to overflowing bins at Bournemouth and Boscombe, exacerbated by rising visitor numbers. The situation has led to litter being left beside bins, negatively impacting the environment, wildlife, and public health while threatening the area’s reputation as a tourist destination. During the recent May bank holiday, 83 tonnes of litter were collected by BCP Council. The petition seeks to prompt a review of waste services, focusing on installing more bins and increasing collection frequency, encouraging residents to sign by September 30 on the council’s website.
