Bridgit, an online platform for unpaid carers in Dorset, has upgraded its AI-powered coach to provide 24/7 personalized support. The enhanced service offers tailored responses based on individual needs and simplifies access to information about benefits and local services. Councillor Steve Robinson emphasized that the platform alleviates the overwhelming nature of caregiving. Launched in 2023 by Dorset Council and Help & Care, the service is free and has assisted over 25,000 carers. Features include a strengths-based pre-assessment to identify carers’ needs and facilitate referrals, all available online or by phone with multilingual support.
