On June 7, an Atlantic 85 lifeboat responded to reports of a sailor in distress aboard a yacht near Keyhaven. The lifeboat crew found the yacht safely anchored and assessed the sailor, transferring him aboard as a precaution and bringing him to shore where he was assisted by HM Coastguard. Keyhaven Yacht Club members were already on-site providing support. The RNLI crew ensured the vessel was secure before returning to their station, where the lifeboat was refueled and prepared for future services. Lymington RNLI covers search and rescue operations in the western Solent and nearby areas.
