Fire crews dispatched to Bournemouth high-rise due to flea treatment fumes

On June 7, Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service responded to reports of smoke and burning from a flat on Commercial Road at 2:30 PM. Seven fire crews, including units from Christchurch, Poole, and other nearby locations, were dispatched. Upon arrival, they determined that the alarm was a false one, triggered by fumes from flea treatment. Firefighters left the scene by 3:17 PM. A spokesperson confirmed the incident and reassured the public that there was no fire hazard.
