Paramedic dispatched to ferry in Poole for medical emergency

On May 30, the Poole Coastguard Rescue Team managed the landing site for the HM Coastguard Rescue Helicopter R375 at Whitecliff. The helicopter was dispatched due to a medical emergency on a French ferry that needed urgent assistance for a patient. The coastguard paramedic stayed on the ferry as it docked in Poole, where the casualty was transferred to an ambulance. The rescue team later retrieved the paramedic before securing the helicopter’s landing site. This incident marked the team’s 82nd call-out of the year, after which they returned to their station.
