Ukraine Relief, based in Bournemouth, has provided over 5,250 tonnes of aid, worth over £18 million, since the onset of the Russian invasion in February 2022. They’ve delivered 408 vehicles, including ambulances and trucks, along with generators, food, and medical supplies. Recently recognized as Charity of the Year by defence firm Cohort plc, the charity received a £20,000 donation. Chief Executive Karol Swiacki expressed pride in community support, stating, “Together, we are making a real difference.” This funding will assist projects in Ukraine, focusing on orphanages and schools. Donations can now be made at Castlepoint. Visit ukrainerelief.org.uk.
