Redevelopment Masterplan for Knoll House Hotel Site at Studland

Developers Kingfisher plan to revamp the historic Knoll House hotel in Studland, reducing guest capacity from 340 to 270, addressing environmental concerns that halted previous proposals. The new design aims for an eco-friendly approach, incorporating existing structures and a landscape strategy to enhance native planting and preserve mature trees. Agents argue that the project won’t significantly impact the environment, thus not requiring a full Environmental Impact Assessment. It is anticipated that fewer guests will alleviate pressure on nearby heathland and reduce pollution risks. Kingfisher is nearing the submission of a new application for this redevelopment.
