The 14th Dorset Tourism Awards celebrate excellence in the region’s visitor economy, with entries rising over 22% from last year. Launched in 2013 with 60 submissions, the awards now encompass accommodations, attractions, hospitality, and events, with 68 trophies awarded last year. Awards director Nell Barrington emphasized the importance of businesses participating for feedback and recognition, while Jay Thornton, of Tomorrows Travel Group, praised the awards for highlighting tourism’s role in local communities. Finalists will be announced later this year, with winners revealed on October 22 at the Marsham Court Hotel in Bournemouth.
