Bournemouth Film School (BFS) achieved remarkable success at the Kodak Student Commercial Awards in London, winning first place in all categories against UK film departments on May 29. Mark Sheldon, a senior lecturer, highlighted the collective effort of students in producing an award-winning piece for the Specialist Production Practice unit. Their winning film, Fairytales of the Future, also triumphed at the Green Film School Alliance awards, earning an Excellence in Fiction prize. The film’s sustainable production methods addressing the climate crisis led to a masterclass scholarship at the Sundance Film Festival and a nationwide cinema screening.
