Ian Julian joined the Coastal Vibes ‘Birds and Breakfast on the Bay’ cruise, a 2.5-hour tour of Weymouth Bay. He made a last-minute decision to go after waking up at 4:30 AM. To his delight, six dolphins began leaping alongside the boat, surprising everyone onboard. Not expecting dolphin sightings, Ian captured stunning photos of them against the backdrop of the Jurassic Coast. The encounter was extraordinary, with crew members noting they had never seen anything like it. The region is known for bottlenose dolphins, part of England’s only resident pod. Ian humorously nicknamed one dolphin ‘Cristiano Ronaldo.’
