Entries now open for 2026 South West Chef competition

Entries are now open for the 2026 South West Chef of the Year competition, celebrating regional culinary talent. Founded in 2004 by chef Michael Caines, this year marks its 22nd edition. The competition seeks the best chefs and home cooks from Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Dorset, Gloucestershire, and Wiltshire. It features four categories: professional chefs, young professional chefs (18-24), student/apprentice chefs (16-19), and home cooks (16+). Finalists will showcase their skills in front of a panel, led by Caines, with the Professional and Student/Apprentice finals taking place at Exeter College on October 27.
