Pride in Place: Committees to determine £60 million spending strategy

West Howe, Boscombe West, and Hamworthy West are among 40 neighbourhoods selected to receive £20 million each for regeneration through the UK government’s Pride in Place programme. This initiative aims to revitalize high streets, enhance public spaces, and foster community pride over the next decade. Each area will form a neighbourhood board, chaired by an independent member to collaborate with local residents and organizations. Applications for board members are currently open. MPs emphasize the importance of community involvement in shaping how the funds are allocated to ensure it meets local needs and aspirations.
