Starting June 1, Bournemouth Airport will increase its pick-up and drop-off fees: £8 for up to 30 minutes, £15 for 30 to 60 minutes, and £20 for one to four hours. This makes it more expensive than Heathrow and Southampton, where charges are around £7. Taxi driver Jay Ahmed criticized the sudden increase, stating it could deter customers, especially as the airport’s busy season begins. Parley Lane Parking emphasized the need for competition to avoid treating passengers as cash cows. The airport cited rising operational costs as the reason for the fee hike.
