RNLI Tows Fishing Boat Back to Poole Harbour

On June 1 at 4:30 PM, Poole RNLI responded to a UK Coastguard request to assist a 21-foot fishing boat experiencing engine failure near Hook Sands. The crew ensured the two occupants were safe and equipped with life jackets. Due to challenging conditions, the boat could not anchor. A tow was successfully established, leading them back to Poole Harbour amidst a sailing race. After securing the fishing boat, a water taxi was arranged to safely ferry the crew ashore. Poole RNLI returned to station by 7:30 PM, ready for further service.
