Hurn firefighters rescue three pets from house blaze

Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service quickly responded to a fire in Hurn after neighbors reported smoke alarms. Four firefighters entered the smoke-filled house, extinguished the fire, and rescued two unconscious dogs and a cat. They employed specialized oxygen therapy kits to revive the animals, which regained consciousness before being taken to a vet for further treatment. The incident underscored the lifesaving value of both specialized oxygen therapy and functioning smoke alarms in homes, with vets confirming that without the initial oxygen, the pets would not have survived.
