Sandra Eyres, 66, retired from her 25-year role at Wimborne St Giles Post Office on May 29. Living in the area for 46 years, she loved the community but found the job increasingly challenging due to a lack of support and communication from the Post Office. Eyres highlighted issues like being held accountable for missing cash and stock, without proper acknowledgment of her departure. She expressed sadness over letting the community down, especially older residents affected by nearby bank closures. Eyres plans to spend more time with her grandchildren and travel, including visiting family in New Zealand.
