Bournemouth Town Council has decided not to revive the Bournemouth Air Festival if it significantly raises the town council precept. The festival last took place in 2024 after BCP Council ceased funding to balance its budget. Although it drew large crowds with aircraft displays and entertainment, Councillor Mark Anderson emphasized its return must not increase residents’ bills by hundreds of pounds. Currently, the precept stands at £29.51 for a Band D household. The Reform group aims to maintain a low precept while supporting essential local events like Remembrance services and Christmas lights.
