Man who resisted arrest during manhunt to appear in court

Jason Evans, 32, from Poole, is scheduled to appear at Bournemouth Crown Court on June 2 after entering guilty pleas. He had allegedly escaped from a prisoner transport vehicle following an appearance at Poole Magistrates’ Court on April 2, prompting a four-day search involving a helicopter. Initially charged with escape from lawful custody, this charge has been dropped. Evans pleaded guilty to one count of assault with intent to resist arrest and assaulting an emergency worker, while a plea was not given for a charge of actual bodily harm. He also admitted to causing harm with a noxious substance.
