Hotels in Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole are experiencing a robust start to the summer season, with high occupancy rates during the Bank Holiday and half-term. The BH Area Hospitality Association (BAHA) reports many properties fully booked, leading to guests being turned away due to demand. This surge follows their “Check In. Chill Out.” campaign promoting the area as a staycation destination. Chair Rosie Radwell noted it was one of the best Bank Holiday weekends in recent years. BAHA is also discussing a potential tourism levy to support local infrastructure, aiming to keep the area safe and welcoming for visitors.
