Kimmeridge Lifeboat dispatched following vessel capsizing incident

HM Coastguard responded to an incident involving a distressed vessel at Worbarrow Bay on May 27 at 8 p.m. The Lulworth and Kimmeridge Coastguard Rescue Teams, along with Swanage lifeboat, searched the area after the boat had capsized and drifted out of sight. They were informed by a passerby that the vessel had been righted but was at the mercy of the wind. The small sailboat was eventually found aground at Arish Mell Gap with both occupants safe on the beach. They were escorted to safety, and arrangements were made for the boat’s recovery, with no injuries reported.
