The Local Plan, spanning 2028/29 to 2043/44, will outline land use in the BCP area, addressing housing, jobs, transportation, and community facilities. It aims to guide development, ensuring it aligns with residents’ needs and supports infrastructure, such as schools and green spaces. The new plan follows the withdrawal of the previous one in 2025, utilizing prior feedback and data. BCP Council is committed to a national planning timetable, with key consultations scheduled from June 2026 to November 2027. The final plan is expected to be submitted for examination by May 2028 and adopted by January 2029.
