Dorset Council has announced an election for the St Leonards and St Ives Ward on July 2, following the passing of Councillor Barry Gorringe. Residents can vote to elect a new councillor, with nominations due by 4pm on June 5 and a candidate list published on June 8. Poll cards will be sent by June 5, and voting will occur from 7am to 10pm. To participate, residents must register by June 16. Postal and proxy vote applications are accepted until June 17 and June 24, respectively. Further information is available on Dorset Council’s website.
