Bargate Homes has secured an option agreement for a 16-hectare site in Burton, near Christchurch, aiming for a landscape-led, sustainable development. Development partner Adam Field emphasized the significance of this landmark location for the company’s growth. The site, located in the Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole Council area, will address local housing needs while maintaining a sensitive transition from village to countryside. Proposals include clustered new housing, affordable options with parent company VIVID, and preserving green spaces. Initial designs by Mosaic and tor&co aim to enhance biodiversity and adhere to high energy performance standards. Public consultation is underway.
