Morebus defends summer start date for town centre project

Customers faced significant delays in bus services during the recent bank holiday, attributed to ongoing construction work on Gervis Place that began on May 23 and is expected to last eight to nine months. Richard Wade, Morebus general manager, noted that adjusting bus schedules and stop locations anticipates winter disruptions. The project aims to enhance the bus terminal’s safety and aesthetics, including improved crossing points. Despite the unusual combination of a hot weekend and increased traffic, Morebus plans to collaborate with BCP Council for better traffic management during busy periods. Revised stop information and on-ground personnel are available for assistance.
