Four Dorset Locations Ranked Among Britain’s Priciest Coastal Towns

Research from Rightmove identified the fastest-growing seaside towns for property prices in Britain. Among 100 seaside areas analyzed, about 80% had average asking prices below the national average. The top ten most expensive towns for 2026 include Sandbanks (£1,119,945) and Canford Cliffs (£1,045,533) in Dorset, with significant representation from the county. Peterlee in County Durham emerged as the cheapest seaside town at £120,657. The study highlights resilient demand for coastal homes, suggesting many affordable options exist, while property experts emphasize the importance of realistic pricing to attract buyers.
