Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance’s new helicopter welcomed

Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance (DSAA) has welcomed a second helicopter at Henstridge Airfield, enhancing its capacity to provide critical care across the region. Chief Executive Charles Hackett expressed gratitude for community support that made this milestone possible. The new aircraft will enable DSAA to reach over 150 additional patients each year during current operational hours, with potential for expanded service. The charity raised £670,000 through its 2ndHeli Appeal towards a £1 million goal and will launch a Naming Campaign for the helicopter on June 30. The existing helicopter, Pegasus, is affectionately known as Peggy.
