Vikki Slade MP joins Bikeability session in Wimborne

On May 21, pupils at Wimborne First School participated in a Bikeability session, supported by Dorset Council. Local MP Vikki Slade and Councillor Shane Bartlett attended to promote the initiative, emphasizing its benefits in helping children gain cycling confidence and safety awareness. The program provides various training courses and adapts to include children with special needs. In the 2025/26 period, over 3,000 training spots were filled with a significant funding contribution from the Department for Transport.
