Dorset Police report over 214,000 speeding offences in Dorset

Dorset Police reported 214,134 speeding offences from 2023 to 2025, with annual offences increasing each year: 67,846 in 2023, 72,181 in 2024, and 74,107 in 2025. Ben Welham from Marshall Motor Group highlighted the growing speeding issue and emphasized the importance of speed awareness courses, attended by over 107,000 drivers to evade penalties. More than 60,000 fixed penalty notices were issued, along with 8,533 court referrals.
