BCP charity calls for fairer PIP review

Citizens Advice BCP emphasizes the need for disabled individuals to be prioritized in the review of Personal Independence Payment (PIP). Responding to the Timms Review, the charity highlights the confusion and stress claimants face within the current system, which often does not adequately support them. Chief Officer Tom Lund notes that the narrow descriptors complicate disabled people’s ability to communicate their challenges. With over 15,000 PIP-related issues handled in six years, Citizens Advice BCP aims to contribute valuable insights to shape effective legislation for the benefit of the local community. The full response is available on their website.
