Ahead of Dorset Day celebrations on May 31, Beaminster is showcasing new Dorset flags that incorporate a green silhouette of the town’s skyline, designed by Cllr Nigel Corbett. Approximately 100 flags adorn local shops, enhancing the town’s vibrancy. Planned festivities include a community party at Memorial Playing Fields featuring a dog show, live music, food stalls, and a beacon lighting. Residents and visitors have expressed enthusiasm for the flags and the events, recognizing the positive impact on the community’s atmosphere and local businesses. Cllr Gunning praised the initiative, highlighting its popularity and community engagement.
