Dorset Police reported that they prevented serious injuries during a large disorder in Bournemouth on May 26. The incident, involving a fight on the beach near Pier Approach, occurred around 6 PM and involved many individuals. Officers on patrol responded quickly and were soon supported by additional resources, including a police dog and a helicopter, to disperse the crowd. Concerns about the safety of Bournemouth have been expressed by residents, lamenting its decline from a once beautiful holiday destination to a place perceived as unsafe.
