Dorset Police reported an unauthorized encampment at Strouden Park, Bournemouth, on May 24, 2026. Officers engaged with the group and collaborated with the local authority, resulting in an eviction notice under section 61 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994. Police stated they would maintain a presence in the area until the group vacated. The BCP Council acknowledged the encampment and confirmed they attended to assess welfare and educational needs, as well as conducting risk assessments.
