Wimborne fundraiser collects funds for town’s floral displays

On May 23, founders Anthony and Christine Oliver hosted a fundraiser at their Wimborne Minster home, attracting around 70 attendees. Guests enjoyed sunny weather and took part in various activities, including a bring-and-buy stall, plant sales, and a raffle, which collectively raised funds for planting flower towers and planters in the area. Mid Dorset and North Poole MP Vikki Slade attended, contributing by drawing raffle prizes. The Olivers expressed gratitude to all contributors and volunteers. Upcoming events include the annual Open Gardens Day on June 28, showcasing 19 local gardens to the public.
