Chris Brockway, the church minister, expressed joy at the community engagement, emphasizing the centre’s role as a communal space. The day concluded with a thanksgiving and dedication service, attended by church leaders and notable guests, including former mayor Viv Charrett and Rev Andrew Ollerton, who officiated the official opening. The centre will continue to serve Christchurch Baptist Church and host community activities.
