A significant water leak has closed portions of Wimborne Road in Kinson, specifically between Northbourne Roundabout and The Broadway, and between Avebury Avenue and Pinewood Avenue. The leak has caused the road surface and pavements to lift, making them unsafe. BCP Council and Bournemouth Water have been notified, and engineers are expected to assess the damage and commence repairs, as a rupture in a 12-inch water main is suspected. The closure may last for an extended period, as a large section of the road might need rebuilding to prevent sinkholes. Drivers are urged to avoid the area.
