David Sidwick, Dorset’s police and crime commissioner, has launched a new survey to prioritize the voices of young people in shaping policing and support services. Following last year’s findings, which highlighted concerns about knife crime and the need for youth workers, the survey aims to build on these insights. Sidwick emphasized the importance of youth participation, urging individuals under 25 in Dorset to contribute. He stated that the feedback will guide the work of the Violence Reduction and Prevention Team, ensuring that young people’s views are integral to ongoing initiatives. The survey can be completed online through the Dorset PCC’s website.
