Sherborne Library set to reopen by end of July

Sherborne Library is set to reopen by the end of July following essential safety upgrades, including asbestos removal and structural repairs. Councillor Ben Wilson acknowledged the community’s frustration over delays, which were caused by the discovery of asbestos and roof concerns. Currently, final approvals are pending, and eight weeks of work remain. Upon reopening, the library will offer extended hours and self-service options, including borrowing and printing. In the meantime, residents can still access library services online and are encouraged to utilize alternative resources while the library is closed. Updates will be provided as the project progresses.
