A chick hatched on May 22 at Carey’s Secret Garden, marking the first of the breeding season for ospreys CJ7 and 022, who have successfully raised 16 chicks since 2022. Birds of Poole Harbour expressed excitement over the quick hatching, hoping for another successful year. CJ7 returned on March 25, and 022 followed on March 26. In previous years, the pair raised four chicks each, and in 2023, they raised three. Ospreys are a protected species, and viewers are urged to avoid the area to prevent disturbing them.
