Olena Kolesnyk, a 39-year-old Ukrainian who moved to the UK in June 2022 through the Homes for Ukraine scheme, now operates Pilates classes in Poole. She offers various sessions, including in-person, online, and one-on-one, after qualifying as an instructor in Ukraine in 2021, following her own health challenges post-childbirth. Initially focusing on Ukrainian clients, Olena has expanded her reach to diverse groups. Grateful for the support received, she plans to offer free classes to NHS staff and is studying to provide sessions for prenatal and postnatal women, reflecting her community-oriented values.
