Three charged over goat thefts from farms in Dorset

Dorset Police’s Rural Crime Team has charged three individuals in connection with the theft of four goats from rural properties in west Dorset. The incidents occurred on January 11 and January 22, 2024, involving two pygmy goats and two boer goats, respectively. Following an investigation, all goats were returned to their owners. A 19-year-old from Cheshire faces charges of theft and perverting justice, while a 28-year-old from Wolverhampton and a 29-year-old from Cheshire are charged with handling stolen goods. They are set to appear at Weymouth Magistrates’ Court on June 3, 2026.
