Dorset Council’s trial on Julian’s Bridge in Wimborne starts May 26 and runs until July 3. The bridge will be closed to motor vehicles on the first day from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm for the installation of temporary traffic lights and barriers, while allowing pedestrian access. The trial will assess the impact of one-way, signal-controlled traffic to create a dedicated footpath for pedestrian safety. A public survey will be available online and at local libraries. Delays may occur between Lake Gates and Wimborne during this period as routine repairs are also conducted. More details are on the Dorset Council website.
