Bournemouth beaches launch new water quality app

The Sea Check app, relaunched by Wessex Water and BCP Council, provides real-time water quality data for Bournemouth and Boscombe beaches, utilizing AI and live data feeds. Developed with UnifAI Technology, WellStat, and IoTech, it sources data from Wessex Water buoys equipped with sensors and alerts users about potential bacterial contamination. This innovative platform, accessible via QR codes on beach posters, aims to help beachgoers make informed decisions about swimming. Wessex Water’s AI model ensures updated safety information, contributing to safer beach experiences for residents and visitors. This project is supported by the Better Boscombe Towns Fund and Wessex Water.
